Hey there, I'm Catherine, a Siberian-born UX/UI designer.
I hold a Master's Degree in Translation and Linguistics, and I've spent years immersed in translation and quality assurance. But my journey has taken a creative twist. Wondering why? My passion for art ignited at just three years old, evolving through art school where color theory, composition, and aesthetics became second nature.
After school, I craved meaningful work beyond art, channeling my love for languages into translation. This path led me to Palex, a localization company, where I dabbled in translation QA. Eventually, I dove deeper, helping create Youtube tutorials for Palex-Soft's Verifika software, delving into its intricacies.
As my understanding of the software grew, so did my involvement, shaping Verifika's user experience. This piqued Palex-Soft's interest in bringing on a UX specialist, prompting me to explore UX through formal training. The concept of design thinking resonated profoundly: "Create value through problem-solving and user needs." That was my 'aha' moment, the missing puzzle piece in my design journey.
With comprehensive UX training under my belt, I found my home in the Verifika team, launching my UX career.
Beyond Design? Fictional realms captivate me – be it books, films, or games. Scenic vistas, natural or urban, leave me in awe. Snowboarding and leisurely strolls fuel my downtime.
